For safety reasons, please bring your dog on a leash and your cat in a carrier. We have cardboard cat carriers for sale, should you need to purchase one prior to your appointment.
For new clients and patients, please come to your appointment a few minutes early to fill out all the required paperwork. Alternatively, you can download the new client and either the new cat or new dog form and e-mail or fax it back to us prior to your appointment.
If you are an existing client that is unable to make any of our appointment times, feel free to schedule a "drop off appointment". Schedule an appointment and drop off your pet after 8am on your way to work and pick up at the end of the day, before 6pm. Please make sure we have your current information and your pet's information as well as filling out the drop off form. If possible, mail or fax the form ahead of time so that we are ready for your pet. For drop off appointments, we need to have a phone number so that we can reach you at all times to discuss the appropiate course of action.
For existing clients only, if you would like to get your pet's nails trimmed or teeth scaled, please make a "nurse appointment." However, you must have had an appointment with us in the last six months, otherwise you must schedule an appointment with a doctor.
Surgery
Pre-Surgery
If your pet is having surgery, please don't feed them after 8 pm the night before surgery, and water should be removed after 6 am the day of surgery.
Post-Surgery
During the evening after surgery, please monitor your pet as closely as possible. Normal after effects may include vomiting and light and sound sensitivity. Your pet will need to be helped in and out of the car, up and down stairs, and on and off the sofa. They may think that they are fully normal, but the drugs take a few hours to be processed and for the sedative effects to wear off. For that first night, it is advisable to confine your pet to avoid any tripping or falling or other abrupt movements and to check the gum color often. By the next morning, the effects of anesthesia should have worn off. Please monitor the appearance of the incision and avoid any licking or biting with an E-collar and restrict activity for the next 10-14 days.
